Tamia Moves Out!

Tamia saying goodbye to LNH staff and neighbors as she moves out.

Tamia gave the LNH staff a photo of herself taken on the day she moved in (Sept 2021) with a note thanking them for everything they’ve done for her.

Louis Nine House (LNH) resident, Tamia moved into her own apartment this month!

LNH provides young adults who have aged out of foster care or would otherwise face homelessness with housing and supportive services including case management, mental health counseling, and career and vocational resources through our Options program.

Looking back at her time living at LNH, Tamia shared that “I felt safe right away, and everyone was welcoming. The staff is here to help with jobs, school...anything you need, they help you figure it out.”

During her time at LNH, Tamia gained valuable work experience in the social services, childcare, and customer service sectors, while pursuing her passion for helping others in meaningful ways. She also is known for her creative side; having wowed everyone with a makeup tutorial featuring her artistry skills at LNH’s annual Talent Showcase this past Spring!

Now, Tamia is taking the next step toward her dreams and settling into independent living. NCS staff worked closely with her to prepare for this exciting move and will continue to support her in her new chapter.

We’re SO proud of everything Tamia has accomplished and can’t wait to see what she does next!
